Photography can make or break how professional your business appears via your website to potential clients. Whatever product or service you sell, think about how you are coming across to your customers. If your images look cheap, expect people to consider that your work might be cheap. If you convey quality, you will attract customers who value quality AND are willing to pay for it.
It is important to note that website visitors can quickly sniff out generic photos in a second–and they’ll be left with a generic impression of your company. If your company isn’t generic then don’t give the impression to your visitors that your company is generic by investing in professional photography.
We at 360 Web Designs strongly recommend that our clients invest in professional photography or purchase professional stock photos that are sharp, professional and instill an emotional connection to the written content. On the other hand, poor quality photographs or photographs that have nothing to do with your message are worse than having no photographs.
Bonus photography tip: To draw attention to a particular piece of content or a signup button, include a photo of a person looking at the content. People are immediately drawn to faces of other humans–and when we see that face looking’ at something, our eyes are instinctively drawn there as well.
